Stadiums For Qatar World Cup 2022:

Khalifa International Stadium

This is one of Qatar’s most popular stadiums, that stands in Doha as one of the international sporting venues ready to host the 2022 World Cup. It has a capacity of 40,000 seats and it is part of the Doha Sports City complex, which comprises as well the Aspire AcademyHamad Aquatic Centre, and the Aspire Tower.

This stadium has welcomed many previous famous games as the Arabian Gulf cup, the AFC Asian cup and many others. This stadium is located at the middle of all other hosting stadiums.

Note that the   Global Sustainability Assessment System has granted this stadium a four star rating and so is the first to receive such rating worldwide. This stadium was built in 1976 and gives a very unique excitement to all attending fans due to its very modern architecture and dual arches that are so exclusive.

Al Bayt Stadium

It is located in Al Khor city which is 60km away from Doha and has a capacity of 60,000 seats. It has unique architecture so it is set to be built like a big tent structure that covers the whole stadium. This stadium is set to host the opening match of the game. This stadium is also set to provide a first-class experience to all attendees.  Al Bayt Stadium is close to completion from interior and as to its exterior grass, lakes and trees are also there. Al Wakrah Stadium 

This stadium is a striking sight as it is built by Zaha Hadid Construction. It fits to 40,000 seats and was initiated lately to host this event. It is located to the South of Al Wakrah city. The shape of this stadium is incredible resembling a typical fishing boat that can be seen in the Al Wakrah City. This stadium has been described “ as an extraordinary stadium”  with a retractable roof.  This stadium is located like 20 km away from central Doha. So the stadium is so suitable to host the World Cup tournaments up to the quarter-final. There is not much to do around the stadium as it is mostly surrounded by residential neighborhoods.

Other Stadiums for World Cup 2022

From the other porposed stadiums are: theLusail Stadium,the Al Rayyan Stadium, The Education City Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium.

The Lusail Stadium is located in the Lusail city which is around 19 km away from Doha. This stadium has a very distinctive design and can fit up to 80,000 seats and is said to host the opening ceremony and the final of the World Cup. The Education City Stadium is fund inside Doha amid several leading universities and can fit to 40,000 seats, the Al Rayyan Stadium can fit to 40,000 seat and is located along the desert and it is a good symbol for Qatar’s culture. Al Thumama Stadium which is 12km away from Doha can fit to 40,000 seat and is built in the shape of the traditional cap worn by the Arabs, and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium is to be built along the shores and will fit for 40,000 seat.
